Still Standing Against the Tide of Oppression

We have begun to unite in secracy. Somehow I have become a leader to the humans trapped with me. I'm unsure how or why. But both species seem to trust me. I have organized us to be efficient in pleasing the aliens holding us captive.

Another week has passed before I could reach the internet again. Another stretch of days spent navigating the perilous rhythms of life under alien control. Sitting here now, recording this moment, I’m struck by something I didn’t expect to survive at all: the persistence of the human will. Even under crushing conditions, it refuses to disappear.

Since my last update, I’ve seen the full spectrum of what this existence demands from us. There have been moments of raw despair, scenes that hollow you out just by witnessing them. But threaded through that darkness are flashes of refusal. The alien regime tightens its hold daily, layering new demands atop old ones, yet not everyone bends.

Courage shows up in unexpected forms. People who once lived quiet, unremarkable lives now take risks that feel almost impossible. Small acts, dangerous acts, meaningful acts. Knowing this steadies me. It reminds me that this burden isn’t mine alone to carry.

Still, defiance carries a brutal cost.

The enforcers respond without hesitation. Punishment is swift and unforgiving, designed to leave no doubt about who holds power. Entire sections of our lives vanish in the aftermath, leaving grief where people used to stand.

We mourn in silence. Names pass from mouth to ear in secrecy, spoken softly but remembered fiercely. Those we’ve lost become markers along the road we’re forced to walk, reminders of what has already been paid and what may still be required.

Despite everything, resolve settles in deeper each day. Not the fiery kind that burns fast, but something heavier, steadier. A commitment to endure. To resist in whatever ways remain possible. To imagine a future not dictated by occupation.

The obstacles ahead are overwhelming. That much is undeniable. But the current running through us hasn’t stopped yet.

As long as it flows, we will keep pushing forward.

And we are not finished.
